Overview

The Digital Trade & Operations Manager plays a key role in shaping the global Digital trading strategy on the Molton Brown websites by supporting country sites with local analysis and tailored plans. This role is responsible for business online operations through a strategy of testing and continuous improvement to optimise site functionality and customer experience. The position will support an omnichannel strategy and positioning as an English luxury brand online, driving KPIs and targets.

Responsibilities

  • Global trading: lead the global Digital trading strategy for the Molton Brown websites by building a robust team that offers full support to country sites with local analysis and tailored plans. Drive strategy to achieve commercial targets in an omnichannel business while maintaining a luxury online experience.
  • Reporting: accountable for weekly action led report using site analysis and KPIs to make decisions and reactive changes. Responsible for monthly reporting to enable learning for long term strategy development. Share insights with global teams.
  • Site optimisation: create a strategy of cyclical improvement through testing to optimise and develop the customer journey, usability and customer experience with the aim of driving revenue growth and luxury positioning. Work with the team to identify customer pain points and optimise experience. Support the development of the Road Map, owning IT relationship and driving releases and testing.
  • Strategy: pro-actively work on new strategies and initiatives to ensure the business is future proofed, market trends are recognised and digital initiatives are driven. Present these to senior management then drive these forward. Own relationship and strategy with third party providers such as (but not limited to) IBM Coremetrics and Bazaarvoice.
  • Campaign planning: lead the on site activation of marketing campaigns and initiatives while balancing evergreen activity and strategy. Review and challenge campaign creative to ensure that assets are optimised for a luxury, omnichannel business with a global approach.
  • Budget and spend: P&L responsibility. Helping plan annual budgets. Track and sign off monthly spends.
  • Manage, guide and develop team members to achieve the above and realise their potential. Continually optimise resources and processes.

Qualifications

  • Degree or equivalent vocational experience preferable. 
  • Minimum 5 years experience in a results driven Digital Trading/eCommerce role for a consumer brand. Premium/luxury preferable.
  • Experience and knowledge of managing website functional development and driving UX.
  • Proficient in all Microsoft Office programs (Excel, Word, Powerpoint, Outlook).
  • Experienced in Content Management Systems.
  • People and team management experience.
