The SAP / Big Data & Analytics Lead works with internal & external customers and IT staff to define and deliver innovative enterprise-class analytics and insight systems for the Kao Americas / EMEA business based on sector, region, country, or company strategies within their functional area. 


  • Work with internal & external customers, business application leaders, and other IT staff to define (strategy) and deliver (project management) innovative enterprise class business solutions for Kao Americas/EMEA. 
  • Provide outstanding customer support in the: analysis, design, configuration, and maintenance of applications in assigned area. 
  • Work within defined SLA metrics. 
  • Write requirements documents, functional/technical specifications, and test plans. 
  • Document all work using standard and best-in-call methodologies.
  • Possess knowledge of best practices and articulate potential benefit/impacts to the business.
  • Work with the business community to implement solutions matching KPIs & best practices while understanding local/geographical/channel variations.   
  • Standardize solutions or adapt as it makes sense.
  • Willingness to be “on call” and provide support and coordinate across multiple timezones.  This will occasionally involve support outside normal business hours with occasional travel.


  • University Bachelor’s Degree
  • SAP Skills
  • 8-10+ years of SAP experience in SAP BW and / or BI-IP technologies 
  • Participated in 2+ SAP BW on HANA migrations and implementations
  • Business Objects skills or other data visualization experience. Preference for 2+ implementations
  • Analytics & Big Data Skills
  • Preference for 1+ big data implementations involving Hadoop or similar technology
  • Experience and background with Nielsen, retailer point of sale data, or integrating additional 3rd party data
  • Business process knowledge in a select area (e.g. Finance, Sales & Distribution, Supply Chain, other)
  • Communication skills and face-to-face interaction with our business leaders will be paramount.
