Overview

Support the Director of Kao Supply chain and the wider team in reporting and understand the monthly/YTD performance of both production and stock.

 

Compile standard costs for all manufactured and/or purchased items for each Molton Brown sku including comparing actual results against established standards for the new product development (NPD) process and the budget.

 

To monitor the expense performance of all Supply Chain departments.

 

Monitoring and Reporting on inventory levels and write off.

 

Managing inventory analyst.

 

This role is a fixed term contract for 12 months.  While the role can be located at our central London location, it will require support of our manufacturing facility in Hertfordshire.

Responsibilities

  • Pro-actively support the Director of Supply Chain to understand all factory variances and identify efficiencies at the Green Street site to reduce the fixed cost base and the variable unit cost in the long term. This will include a wide variety of projects.
  • Perform month end closing for all stock, COGS related costs including comparison against established standard costs as well as monitoring the performance of all Supply Chain departments against established budgets. This includes a through understanding of the drivers of the manufacturing and variable COGS for monthly P & L.
  • Provide all reporting for MB supply chain (stock, standard COGS and variances), EMEA and Kao Japan.
  • Lead forecast and budget processes for all MB SCM costs including Molton Brown standards COGS (manufactured and/or purchased) by collaborating closely with the manufacturing and logistics teams, the Director of Supply Chain, Global MB Director of Finance and EMEA SCM team.
  • Develop standards costs for all NPD MB sku's (both manufactured and/or purchased) as required for the NPD/launch and for the forecast and budget processes.
  • Support to (1) calculate the global MB stock provision on a quarterly basis (2) pro actively identify options to reduce the stock holding and stock provision by collaborating with Merchandising and Supply Planning.
  • Manage inventory analyst.

Qualifications

  • Strong Academics, ideally within a Finance related discipline 
  • Previous experience of working in an FMCG finance environment would be greatly advantageous 
  • Excellent Communication skills 
  • Highly motivated & enthusiastic with a can-do attitude
  • Strong systems skills including Advanced Excel (V look ups, Pivot tables etc.)
  • Knowledge of SAP
  • Strong Academics, ideally within a Finance related discipline 
  • Qualified Finance Professional (CIMA, ACCA, ACA)
