  • Overview

    The core purpose of this role is to lead the category management responsibilities across Grocery mutiples. You will drive the engagement strategy to enhance our credentials and relationships with our key grocery partners.The day to day focus will be on analysing and identifying opportunities to deliver profitable sales growth and value for Kao, the category and the shopper, whilst delivering against distribution, space and merchandising targets for the Kao portfolio.

    Responsibilities

    • Identify category & Shopper trends for Grocery Mults- translate these into actionable insight for KAO and Grocery Mults customers
    • Responsible for providing input and direction into strategy development, account plans and brand plans to ensure Kao wins across all retailers and channels.
    • Creating, managing and strengthening relationships with key personnel across varied departments within our retail partners, ensuring that a credible and objective voice is heard and a solid and trustworthy partnership is delivered.
    • Driving distribution growth in existing and new customers, investigating and flagging opportunities for new product launches, incremental listings and additional space gains.
    • Micro space and planogram optimisation to improve rate of sale and profit productivity for the category and Kao products. Lead Micro space and  planogram Optimisation in Grocery Mults to improve rate of sale and profit productivity for the category and Kao products

    • Identify the optimum tactics to enable Kao to win  in the Grocery Mults channel and embed these within KAO and Key customers

    • Key partner for marketing, sales and trade marketing in identification and definition of new opportunities across all retailers and channels.

    Qualifications

    • Degree educated.
    • FMCG commercial experience: 3-5 years Experience
    • Trade Marketing or Category Management: 2 years Experience
    • Experience using Nielsen/IRI sales software preferred.
    • Experience using Space management/Planogram software preferred.
